The Process

Creating the Industry Standard
Our proprietary 56-page cleaning process is approved and accepted by major oxygen manufacturers, in accordance with CGA and ASTM.

Our process includes:

  • Inspecting
  • Cleaning
  • Bagging
  • Sealing
  • Tagging
  • Documenting

How much does it cost if your facility is down for one day?

GTC can minimize that extraordinary cost by providing same day delivery for inventoried components. Expedited shipping - domestic and international - is available to keep you up and running."

Certified. Clean.

The Justification
Failure to properly clean oxygen system components substantially increases potential for fire, explosion, and an adiabatic compression - a rapid rise in temperature and subsequent explosion - within a gas piping system that occurs when compressed oxygen comes in contact with foreign particles or incompatible materials.

In short, this process is needed so your piping system does not explode.

Cleaning Redefined

"Oxygen Cleaning" is industry short-hand for "Cleaned for Oxygen Service". This cleaning removes oil, grease, paint, varnish, mill-scale, particulates, as well as organic and inorganic contaminants. Particulate matter can be anywhere within the piping system, so every part of it must be cleaned - pipe, valves, check valves, fittings, manifolds - everything.
Moving Forward

Once every component is cleaned, it needs to stay clean from transport through installation. In order to stay clean, all components must be individually bagged, tagged, and documented to ensure traceability.

We take care of all this for you.
